Variationelle Modellierung irreversibler Effekte in polykristallinen Formgedächtnislegierungen

  • Shape memory alloys are attractive materials for industrial applications. A requirement for this usage are material models which are able to predict the microstructural processes. The present thesis deals with irreversible processes which simultaneously take place to the diffusionless phase transformation and which result in the functional fatigue of the material due to cyclic loading. The three presented models are based on the variational method of the principle of the minimum of the dissipation potential. In the first two approaches, the effect of functional fatigue is modeled by simultaneous plastic deformation or respectively irreversible transformations. In the third model, the influence of thermal cycling is considered by storage of the transformation history. Simulation results prove the material models' ability to couple phase transformations with irreversible processes as well as to display the functional fatigue.
